DDPO improvement

I added two links about the buildd process one for a global overview for the maintainer (Igloo's buildd report link) and one per package that has to be compiled (More buildd link). I would like to thank Igloo for its work.

The second improvement is not visible: Jeroen van Wolffelaar modify the backend in order to speed up the processing, to simplify the backend and to have an unified process for all the branches (stable, testing, unstable, experimental, security.*, ...). Many thanks to him.

DDPO and gluck crash

You probably noticed that some parts of DDPO was broken few days ago. The gluck crashed implies that major parts of backends were broken or data gathered were outdated. It is now fixed. The last fixed part was the popcon backend that crashed because of a data corruption. The Popcon developers team and especially Bill Allombert worked on that.

I also did some crontab launch time changes in order to (once again) fix the big latency between the ftp.d.o process and the qa's backends. They were performed more than 20 hours later or (optimistic point of view) 4 hours sooner that they need. Now the latency is the shorten we never had: approximativly 1 hour.

I will leave this changes not committed for a period without crashes, ... :)

Let me know if there are any issue I haven't notice

Kexi hits unstable

I'm proud to announce that Kexi hits unstable after a relatively long period in experimental. ;)

The Kexi Team (very nice team ;) ) will release the 0.1 version in the coming days that's why they asked me if it was possible to remake the packages. I did it using cdbs wich is really nice :) Moreover I need to package the kexi-i18n in order to provide a really complete Kexi package. I also need to have in mind that kexi will probably be included into koffice so there are two alternatives:

  1. provide one package kexi-i18n with all the .mo files
  2. provide one package per locale

I would prefer the second because of the granularity and for the transition but the produced packages (almost 45) will be small. So I need to discuss with Ben Burton for this.

not bloging for a long time...

It was a long time since I bloged my last entry, especialy because I didn't have the time and the motivation. So today I decided the change my mind and (re)start feeding news about me :)

Last week end my wife and I (with some others) went to Cordes Sur Ciel to have a little excursion. It was cold and windy but really nice. We walked through the valley and had a really nice time.

With spring, it's time to go out and discover my really beautiful country :)
